I am writing these lines in Greece, from the Pelion peninsula.
I'm here to preview the Artemis Retreat in May - Intuitive Female Leadership.
Even in the first few hours, I was deeply touched by the feminine energy of this country.
Greece carries an ancient memory - of times when female wisdom was seen as the source of life, not something to be controlled, shamed or ridiculed. The energy of the earth here is soft, welcoming, nurturing - and at the same time powerful, one could almost say lovingly challenging.
I notice how my body relaxes.
How my mind becomes still.
How my soul remembers.
How my heart breathes a sigh of relief.
As I sit here, between the sea and the olive trees, I once again become painfully aware:
We humans have not simply forgotten how to lead from this energy - we have been systematically uprooted.
We have grown up in a world that has sold violence, competition, control and alienation as necessary leadership qualities. We have been conditioned to confuse toughness with strength, conformity with intelligence, and separation with freedom. We have been brought up to accept the devaluation of the feminine - within us and around us. This is patriarchal programming.
This way of leading has not „brought us forward“. It has brought us - as humanity - to the brink of renewed division, to the brink of inner emptiness, to the brink of collective exhaustion, and to the brink of the ecological destruction of our planet, Mother Earth.
The collective trauma of repressed female energy
This legacy lives on - in all of us. Because centuries of suppression of female energy have caused profound trauma - in women and men, in all people.
For women, these traumas caused, among other things: Doubts about their leadership abilities, repeated experiences of invisibility in leadership, fear of subtle to overt violence. Many consciously or unconsciously ask themselves: Can I raise my voice? Is what I have to say important enough? Will I be heard or overheard? And above all: am I safe if I make myself visible and audible?
Many women, including leading women, go through life with the fear of not being enough, not loud enough, not „strong enough“ to lead. Even though something inside them knows exactly that they can, want and even should lead.
For men and the collective field, patriarchal trauma has created a distorted relationship to power, control and vulnerability that defines masculinity not in a powerful and empowering way, but primarily through the rejection and exclusion of all things feminine. A separation from one's own receptivity and emotional depth is propagated, those abilities that are in truth essential for leadership.
This creates a collective vacuum - a void, a lack where solidarity, intuition and care should have been at work.
The oppression of the feminine is not a thing of the past - it lives in our language, our bodies, our organizations. The state of the world right now shows exactly where patriarchy has taken us: War, fear, violence and destruction affect endless numbers of people. On the other hand, there is a shameless, egomaniacal enrichment (with money and power) of a few old men who were able to get to the positions of power in the first place because we collectively still believe that strong leadership must not show female qualities.
The consequences of this collective psychosis are catastrophic.
What is Intuitive Female Leadership?
Intuitive female leadership is not a method or a trend.
It is a return to a knowledge that is older than any religion and at the same time more sustainable than any conceived leadership model. It is based on the ability to lead from inner contact rather than from control. It recognizes that true leadership is not about directing people, but about holding spaces where truth, creativity and healing can emerge. Patriarchal leadership says: „I know where I want to go - follow me.“
Intuitive female leadership says: „I am in connection with the entire system - I listen to what wants to be led now.“
One is based on power, hierarchy and control.
The other is based on awareness, resonance and trust.
Intuitive Female Leadership integrates mind and intuition, heart, drive and receptivity, clarity and compassion.
She recognizes that leadership does not mean standing above something, but rather making her hearing and perception available to a living system.
Why we now need the matriarchy (again) - and why so many people can't even hear it.
The word matriarch triggers resistance in many people - not only in men, but also in women.
Why?
Because we collectively live in the patriarchal narrative that the feminine is weak, irrational or dangerous. This is internalized misogyny, a millennia-old conditioning that separates us from one another.
Very few want to be „in the women's corner“ - another word for „mini“ niche, or worse: siding.
But matriarchy - in the original sense - was never a niche for women. Nor could it ever be the inverse of patriarchy. It is not a system of domination, but a culture of the guardians of life.
In matriarchal societies, the focus was and is not on power, but on balance.
Not competition, but cooperation. Not ownership, but responsibility.
The matriarch is not a ruler - she is a guardian. She serves life itself. She leads by nurturing, ordering, healing, protecting and connecting.
And that is exactly what our time needs:
We need matriarchs because we need people who feel before they act.
They know that no system can survive if it ignores the flow of life.
And because the future is only a future if it is shaped in harmony with life itself.
Intuitive Female Leadership does not only invite women. It invites the feminine in every person -
the intuition, the connection, the listening, the holding.
It reminds us that true leadership is always embodiment - not a title, not a status, but a state of consciousness.
Perhaps you also feel this longing: for guidance that creates peace, for an existence that resonates with life again.
In May, I will be here in Greece with a small group of women,
to explore exactly that - in the field of Artemis, the wild, free, feminine - ancient - power.
