As life goes on –
and is looking for a new direction
Known from:
A weekend for young cancer survivors
to have – and to want to consciously shape their lives.
Many survivors bear visible or invisible traces of this experience: in their bodies, in their life stories, in their outlook on the future.
This retreat is a space to pause, share experiences, discover new perspectives, and meet people who have walked similar paths. At the same time, this retreat is part of a pilot project exploring new forms of support for young long-term survivors. The question of how digital support – for example, AI-powered avatars – can meaningfully accompany people after a serious illness also plays a role.
In the retreat, a space is created in which these possibilities are considered from the perspective of those affected and reflected upon together.
Vibrant encounter, orientation, and strengthening.

This retreat is for young adults who have survived childhood or adolescent cancer.
Many survivors experience a unique situation after medical treatment: the illness is behind them – and at the same time, it has left scars that continue to shape their lives.
Many wish to „live a normal life.“ Yet, the experiences of this time cannot be denied. This often creates an internal tension that young survivors can feel very alone with in their daily lives.
This retreat creates a space where these experiences can be held. A space where they can be shared with others—without explanation, without justification.
A space where community forms, while also leaving room for everyday life, for conversations, laughter, and new perspectives.
This is how your own path to integration can develop step by step. A space for exchange. For new perspectives. And for the life that now lies before you.
The booking is made via the OKIJU Foundation. The personal contribution for the retreat is €60.
