On December 6, Helen Daughtrey gives us an impulse that fits perfectly into December: Don't wait for January 1st.

Many people make big plans at the turn of the year. But change doesn't start with a date - it starts with a moment. And sometimes this moment only lasts six minutes, because that's how little it takes to significantly reduce stress levels while reading.

In her keynote speech, Helen Daughtrey talks personally about how she found her way to reading through burnout. She talks about why we often don't make time, even though we know that reading is good for us - and how we can let go of these excuses: We think we need to read a lot. Or the right thing. Or be well rested.

But sometimes ten pages are enough. Or three. Or the sentence that makes us fall asleep - because our body shows us what it needs at the moment.

A plea for small steps, gentle routines - and for the fact that the best time to start something good is always now.
