"ACTIVELY SHAPING THE EDUCATION OF THE FUTURE: CONCRETE PATHS AND OPPORTUNITIES" WITH JAMILA TRESSEL, MARGRET RASFELD AND PETRA FLOCKE
"Schools should move away from the pressure to perform, from higher, faster, further - towards a society that produces happy people. In which we learn from each other and take care of each other. Taking care of the planet. That is the overarching goal: a different society, a different attitude. It starts at school."
Jamila Tressel (Source: Spiegel Online, June 2019)
The aim of the salon is to create a clear picture of where we currently stand and what steps can be taken, when, how and by whom (politicians, school lobby, individuals such as parents, pupils, interested parties).
Jamila Tressel is committed to radical change in the German education system. In line with the motto: "Away from being an immature, obligatory learner and towards being a courageous, responsible and self-thinking individual", she gives talks throughout the German-speaking world and internationally with suggestions, possibilities and real-life examples of how school and learning can be different and even really fun. She wrote her first book "Wie wir Schule machen - Lernen, wie es uns gefällt" (2014) at the age of 14 together with two classmates. The three authors received the EduAction Award in 2018 for their commitment. (Source: www.thechangemaker.work)
CHANGING EDUCATION
The reading will be followed by a discussion with the guests present, the authors and other invited guests. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Petra Flocke (Focus: \"Education, Science, Innovation\") in this context.Places are limited, registration is required: mail@intuitionstraining.org
And a nice book recommendation \"Leseperlen\" with the even nicer headline \"Schule, die glücklich macht\" from Zeit Online >>>
We need new solutions, new skills. A willingness to act and take risks, for example, a different culture of error. I believe that we urgently need to learn media skills, creative and artistic skills and value them more. We should go out, be courageous, know who we are and what we can do. JT
